In Texas Hold’em Poker, the cards are to be dealt from a disc (also called dealer button). Before the deal, the player sitting immediately left to the dealer button place a small blind and the player sitting immediately left to the small blind post a big blind. The big blind and small blind are forced bets.  Forced bets are also called blinds bets as they are made before seeing any cards.

In the first round of Texas Hold’em Poker, two hole cards or pocket cards are dealt face-down to all the players. Now the betting round starts from the player sitting immediately left to the big blind and the actions continues clockwise around the table. There are four betting options for each player: Bet, Raise, Check and Fold. The big blind enjoy a privilege of the last action and may raise or check the bet.   

After the first betting round is over, three community cards are dealt face up on the board and the second betting round starts with the player sitting immediately left to the dealer button. Now the Turn card is dealt to each poker player followed by the third betting round. After the third betting round, River card is dealt face-up to all the players followed by the final betting round. In Texas Hold’em Poker, the River Card is the fifth and last card dealt to any poker player. 

After the final betting round, a showdown occurs; where all the remaining poker players will show their cards and the player with best five card poker hand will be awarded the pot. The players can use any combination of Hole cards and Community Cards to make their best five card poker hand.
